The Fishing Lakes

About the lakes

Both of our lakes here at Maythorne are day ticket lakes with a mix of

carp, roach, bream, perch, tench chub and ide. The back pond was used to power the water wheel in the mill before being stocked 50 years ago. The front pond was dug and stocked 30 years ago for fishing.

Opening Times

Monday - Sunday 7am - until dusk

No admittance after 6pm

£10 day ticket

(1 or 2 rods)

Facilities & Rules

Car park on each lake with toilets

Booking is not required. Turn up and pay cash on peg

Dogs are welcome on leads
No night fishing

No keep nets

No barbed hooks 

Max hook size - 10 

Ground bait in feeders only

Children under 16 need to be supervised 

All nets must be dipped

Tackle and rod license checks will happen at random

landing net, unhooking mat & disgorger are a must
